The South Asian society is one of the most vague and diverse societies to be a part of this world. Like any other societies which are prevailing in the globe, the society has its strength and weaknesses.
Strengths
Hard Working: The people of South Asia are very hard working. As the majority of the profession of the people of South Asia is agriculture, so the farmer works all day in the field to support his family. It is not just limited to the students but to businessmen, students and all type of profession in which the people are involved in. The people have jobs in which the people spend 8-10 hours average in a day just to earn their bread and butter.
Nuclear powered: Another of the most important strength of S.A is that the countries are nuclear and atomic powered nations. This way the country can scare their opressors by increasing their nuclear capabilities and the weapons of mass destruction which are being created in the world. But this also has a different view point as the nuclear can also be used for development rather than weapons.
Resources: As the dialogue in Blood Diamond movie, “The resources of the country are the sovereignty and well being of the people”. The area of South Asia is very resourceful as Pakistan and India are one of the most important exporters of agriculture and coal is also discovered in Pakistan which will bring well being to the country. As the country is resourceful, the more developed will it be.
Hospitable: The countries such as India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka are known to be one of the most welcoming countries of the globe. By having good hospitality, this create a good will among the people and enable the people to visit the country more often.
Weaknesses
No unity: This is the biggest weakness which the Soth Asian community posses. There is no unity on a single cause. The European Union is one of the biggest examples of the unity in the world and they are united no matter what has happened between their countries in the past. Here, the people always blame each other for events which occurred.
Blame Game: The South Asian countries are blaming each other for their destruction. Pakistan blames India for the events and India is blaming China to be terrorists. By using the blame, the western countries such as US take advantage of the situation and involve more politics and games.
Illiteracy: Also one of the challenges faced by the region. As there is no literacy, the region is lagging behind. In Pakistan, the amount spent on the education sector is only 2-5%. This means what the government is doing to promote education, that is absolutely nothing. If there is no literacy, the people are not aware of the problems and what will be the conditions in the next year.
Religious Extremism: The Taliban, Shiv Sena, Lashkar-e-Taiba are the result of the religious extremism present in the countries which is creating havoc for the countries. The result is the hundreds of people getting killed in a day due to suicide bombs.
This is enough for now.
