Globalization is the process of incorporation of the world wide community into a social or economical system. It is the propensity of, technologies, businesses or philosophies to extend all through the world, or the course of making this happen. Nowadays, globalization is spreading its wings and the most common example for this is the Mc Donald’s, KFC or pizza hut’s franchise, which has chains all over the world.
Globalization is important and fruitful for the developed countries, since, the competition is equal and there are further chances of development as one follow suits the other. However, in case of developing countries it is disastrous, particularly in terms of the social system, as developing countries following the tends of the developed are unable to meet the standards of the developed and in progress also lose their own heritage. Meanwhile, if the competition is among the developed countries, it can still result fruitfully.
“Tell me, how much it is possible and fair for a small country or poor country like India or Pakistan to compete with a rich and resourceful country like USA? The fruits of globalization will only be eaten by no more than 50,000 people in the world (who are multinational companies and of course politicians).” Ajay Jain, Norfolk, USA
Globalization is opening different prospects for people all around the world, People are acquiring foreign degrees, employment in the foreign job markets, and however, this is resulting in brain drain. Moreover, globalization is mostly west prone, thus providing little benefit to the east. The number of poor countries in Africa has increased from 27 to 34, within the time span of 5 years.
